744 ZEN-Core tones usable with the ZEN-Core Editor-Librarian software for Roland Fantom 6-7-8, Fantom-06/07/08, AX-Edge, Jupiter-X/Xm

The sound bank brings together the numerous tones programmed and made available for free by some users of Patchland and Roland Fantom Platform User Group.

Many of these tones were programmed with the Jupiter-8, Juno-106 and JX-8p Model Expansions: using my algorithm in the Editor Librarian, I converted them to the equivalent ZEN-Core format and inserted them into the editor library, ready to be played, modified and optimized without the limitations of the original model.

Some observations:
- The tones are grouped by author: the first tone of each group is an INIT Tone with the name of the author who programmed them and made them available. For convenience this applies to those who have made 2 or more sounds available; the other tones are grouped in locations C17-C33.
- As is known, the Model Expansion of the JX-8P (and its equivalent ZEN-Core Tone) has polyphony equal to 19 voices and uses Partial 4 to simulate the background noise of the original synth: for such tones it is possible (and convenient) turn it off (Partial 4=OFF) so as to have an increase in polyphony from 19 to 28 voices.
The equivalent ZEN-Core tone of a Model JX-8P can be recognized by the presence of the parameters indicated by the arrows: Partial3=OFF; Partial 4 Attenuator=127 Level4=8; Partial LFO Phase Lock=ON

- The equivalent ZEN-Core tones obtained from the Model Expansion of the Juno-106 have polyphony equal to 14 voices and are characterized by the presence of all 4 partials always lit even when the oscillator volume in the model is equal to zero (in the equivalent model OSC Attenuator=0): all those Model sounds in which there are oscillators with volume at zero waste unnecessarily polyphony voices.
It is possible to easily recognize the equivalent ZEN-Core tone of a Model Juno-106 as the partials 1-2-3 and 4 always have oscillators with waveforms set respectively to VA SQR, VA SAW, VA SQR and Noise: the Partial LFO Phase Lock=ON and the VCF Gain Correction=30.

Here is an example (Juno-106 STRINGS) where SUB and Noise are set to zero

To save polyphony, in all the ZEN-Core tones obtained from the conversion of a Model Juno-106 it is best to turn off the partials with Attenuator=0. The polyphonies obtained are:

I take this opportunity to thank all those who made their sounds available.

Zoltán Nagy
- 128 Factory Presets of Juno 106 - Bank D (1-128)
- 64 Factory Presets of JX-8P - Bank E (1-64)
- 64 Factory Presets of Jupiter-8 - Bank E (65-128)

They are excellent replicas of the original presets of these synths created with the model expansions: the library contains their equivalent ZEN-Core version. For the JX-8p and Juno-106 sounds it is possible to proceed with the optimization of the polyphony, as seen.

- 128 JP-8000 tones - Bank A (17-128) . Bank B (1-17)
- 31 original JX-8p sound -  Bank F (1-64)
- 244 ZEN-Core tones  (J.M.Jarre, Europe, classic VA synth,..) Bank F (33-128) - Bank G (1-85)
